Handgun Familiarisation Course

This class is an entry level course for handgun shooters and is designed specifically for those who have received little formal instruction in maintaining their handgun.

• Student supplies safety glasses for eye protection
• Student supplies CZ Handgun and one magazine (no ammunition)
• CZ Academy provides lunch meal unless otherwise noted prior

Morning (0900 – 1240)
• Welcome address and house keeping
• Ceska Zbrojovka company history and handgun manufacturing process
• Introduction to the CZ family of pistols in Australia
• Examination of handgun controls
• Disassembly and assembly procedures: slides, frames, magazines
• A thorough examination of all pistol operations

Lunch Break

Afternoon (1310 – 1700)
• Inspection procedures
• Troubleshooting
• Operational function checks
• Sights: installation, adjustment and accessories for your CZ
• Alternative maintenance methods
• Review

Upon the conclusion of this course, you will be proficient at fieldstripping, reassembly, cleaning, lubrication, identification of worn or damaged parts, and minor parts replacement. You will be experienced in diagnosing and fixing recurring malfunctions. Discussions on accessorising your CZ pistol with factory and other after- market accessories will allow you to understand which of the best parts manufacturers to choose from and which ones to avoid. This course is a must if you want to leverage the years of experience PBA imports has in keeping your firearm functioning at its optimum level.
